College Classes

Urban has a long history of enrolling students in NYC area colleges. Currently, students are taking classes at the Eugene Lang College (the undergraduate division of the New School) and at Hunter College. About fifty per cent of Urban students take at least one college course before they graduate.

To help the students make a smooth adjustment to the college environment, they receive support from their Urban teachers.

Students have attended a range of courses including foreign language courses (e.g., Italian, Japanese), higher mathematics, philosophy, and political science. They receive college credits, which are transferable to any college.
