Urban has a long history of enrolling students in NYC area colleges. Currently, students are taking classes at Hunter College (around the corner from us) and at Sarah Lawrence College (located just north of the city). About fifty per cent of Urban students take at least one college course before they graduate.

To help the students make a smooth adjustment to the college environment, they receive support from their Urban teachers.

Students have attended a range of courses including foreign language courses (e.g., Italian, Japanese), higher mathematics, philosophy, and political science. They receive college credits, which are transferable to any college.
